Handfolded out of Precious Metal Clay, my silver Origami pieces are perfect for special occasions and everyday wear. PMC is a product that was developed by the Mitsubishi Corporation in the mid-1990s. It consists of pure silver or gold combined with a compound that gives it a clay-like quality. When fired, the compound burns off, and what remains is .999 fine silver or gold. These roses were created by folding paper and coating with approximately 8 layers of PMC paste. When they fire in the kiln, the paper core burns away, leaving a silver form. They measure approximately 3/4" across and are securely mounted onto post earrings with disked bullet backs. |
